Player Info Box

Index -> Playing the Game -> The Game Screen -> Player Info Box

Each player in the game has a Player Info Box (2) in the upper-right corner of the map. In a four-player game, these Player Info Boxes extend across the whole top portion of the map. The boxes contain important information on each player.

  • Name: Each player's name is written in his color. A player's fleets are framed in a box of this color, and the name of each planet he controls is also in this color.
  • Avatar: The image that player has chosen to represent him. Note that this may not correspond to the race of his current deck.
  • Points of Power: The red trophy icon to the immediate right of the Avatar counts the points of power that player has.
  • Culture Count: The yellow star indicates a player's destiny, relative to other players.
  • Edge/Tie-breaker Marker: The player who has the Edge has a circled E icon at the right-hand side of his avatar. In a multi-player game, other players will have one or more Tie-breakers in this location, represented by diamonds. (For example: If a player has two diamonds at the right-hand side of his Player Info Box, he has two Tie-breakers.)
  • Timer (only visible in timed games): If you are playing a game with a time limit, each player's remaining time is listed under his Player Info Box. In a game involving a "chess clock," the clock only counts down while a player is planning choices. Once a player has clicked the Go Button (10), his clock stops. If a player's timer runs down to zero, he loses the game.

Clicking on a Player Info Box creates a second info box beneathit. This second box contains stats on cards in hand, cards in deck, cards in discard pile, and cards ditched to the Black Hole. The player's current levelsof each ofthe five techsis also provided. Click on this expanded box a second time to hide it.
