Moving your view across the map

You can change which area of the map (1) you are viewing in three ways:

Click and drag anywhere on the map to slide your view of the galaxy accordingly.
Double-click on any map object, or just an area of empty space, to center the map on that location.
Click on the square button in the Map Controls (9) to re-center the map.

Zooming in and out of the map

If you'd like to get a closer look at a section of the map, or back up for a galactic eagle's view, you can either:

Use the mouse-wheel or the magnifying glass icons on the Map Controls (9) to zoom in and out; or
Click on the square button in the Map Controls to re-center the map.
