The Information Panel (4) occupies the right-hand side of the screen. When you click on fleets, planets, asteroid fields, or other items in the map, detailed information appears in the Information Panel.
When you click on planets, player avatars, or an empty bit of space, you will see info on that planet, player, or the galaxy. The list box that appears at the bottom of the panel contains icons for any modifiers or markers on that object. (For example: At the left is an Information Panel showing an artifact planet. The two icons in the list box at the bottom represent the planet type and an Archeologist modification on the planet.)
You can double-click on any entry in the listbox to make a magnified image of it appear in the map area. Click anywhere in the map area, or on the magnified image itself, to close this image.
